About our bread /

Our rewards and our plans

The great quality of “Sergiev Kanon” healthy bread was awarded by the professional society. In 2013 at the VI International contest of bread tasting and bread-made products “Innovations and Traditions”, our Lavra masters’ Korovai was awarded a gold Medal and First Degree Diploma, and our bread with sieved flour and bran won a Silver Medal and Second Degree Diploma. 

In 2014, at the 20th International Exhibition “Modern Bread-Baking. Moscow”, our Lavra diet bread with bran and Kelarsky bread with prunes and nuts were awarded a gold medal and first-degree Diploma. Kelarsky bread with dried apricot won a Silver medal and second-degree Diploma, and “Borodinsky” bread won a Bronze medal and third-degree Diploma.

The bread production at the Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius is constantly in progress. The modern mini-factory is capable of producing over 5,000 bakery and pastry products per shift. Only prosphora is baked on the territory of the Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius itself. Our production is based in the main factory and is located on the industrial territory of the monastery, and it is equipped with modern facilities. Benefactors helped to renovate the premises and to buy new equipment for production. We are planning to increase both the volume and variety of our products, including our successful experiments with Karavaev bakery, which will soon be available on the shelves of our store.
